2. Deliberate cold exposure (promising, use sensibly)

A splash of cold water on the face, a cold rinse at the end of a shower, or brief cold immersion triggers a reflex that slows the heart and can jolt you out of a spun-up state. The evidence is genuine but younger and smaller than for breathing, and cold is itself a stressor. Aim for a brief, controlled dose, not an ordeal. 3. Movement and discharge
